| I've always considered this album as a demo, i.e. a demonstration of my song writing, vocals, piano and guitar. The album is therefore 'stripped back' to the bare minimum in order to concentrate on the lyrics and is acoustically quite sparse. So what you hear is what you get, all piano, strings, guitar and vocals are 'pure me'. The album was recorded at Firefly Studios on the edge of Dartmoor (hence the title). The songs span 4 years of my life, and are some deeply personal songs written through life's ups and downs, joys and sorrows, dreams and realities. I hope you enjoy the songs and find some inspiration in them. |
